Currently the municipality Óbidos is included in the grouping of municipalities in the West, has an area of 141.55 km² hectares, consisting of 7 parishes: Vau, Usseira, Amoreira, Olho Marinho, Gaeiras, A-dos-Negros and Santa Maria / São Pedro / Sobral da Lagoa.
It borders Bombarral, Caldas da Rainha, Lourinhã and Peniche.
