What data we collect when you visit goobidos.com, what we use it for and how you can control it.
Who we are
goobidos.com, its subdomains and its versions in other languages are run by PLANETPATH – UNIPESSOAL LDA, tax number (NIF) 519384784, based at Rua Doutora Maria de Fátima Delgado Domingos Farinha, 207, 6.º Dto., 6000-410 Castelo Branco, Portugal. This is the controller of the personal data described on this page.
What data we collect
We only collect the data we need:
- When you contact us by email, phone or form: your name, email, phone number and the content of your message.
- When you book a tour or activity: bookings are made through FareHarbor, which collects the data needed (name, contact details, number of people and payment). Payment details are handled by FareHarbor and its payment provider and never reach us.
- When you browse the site: technical data such as browser and device type, pages viewed and where the visit came from. Statistics data is only collected if you accept statistics cookies.
What we use the data for
- Answering your requests and managing bookings. Legal basis: performance of a contract, or steps taken at your request before one.
- Measuring visits to improve our content. Legal basis: your consent, given in the cookie notice.
- Sending news about Óbidos, tours and offers, if you asked for it. Legal basis: your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.
- Meeting legal obligations, such as tax rules. Legal basis: legal obligation.
Who we share data with
We do not sell your data. We only share it with service providers that help us run the site, and they only receive the data they need:
- website hosting and email;
- FareHarbor, for bookings;
- Mailchimp, to send our newsletter, if you subscribe;
- Google: Analytics, only if you accept statistics cookies, and Google Maps, to show maps.
Some of these providers, such as Google, FareHarbor and Mailchimp, may process data outside the European Union. In those cases the transfer follows the safeguards set out in the GDPR, such as the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses or the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.
How long we keep data
- Contact requests: as long as needed to answer you and follow up.
- Bookings and invoicing: the period required by tax law.
- News emails: until you withdraw consent, or after two years with no interaction.
- Cookies: the period shown in the cookie tables below.
Your rights
At any time you can ask us:
- for access to the data we hold about you;
- to correct data that is wrong or incomplete;
- to delete your data or restrict how we use it;
- to stop processing your data where it is based on legitimate interest;
- for a copy of your data in a common format (portability);
- to withdraw consent you gave, without affecting processing carried out before.
To exercise any of these rights, write to [email protected]. We reply within one month. We may ask you to prove your identity, so that we only share data with the person it belongs to. In some cases, such as legal obligations, a request may not be met straight away; if so, we will explain why.
If you believe your rights have not been respected, you can complain to the Portuguese data protection authority (CNPD) at www.cnpd.pt.
Cookie policy
Cookies are small text files that a site stores in your browser. We use them to make the site work and, if you agree, to count visits.
On your first visit we show a notice where you can accept all cookies, reject statistics cookies or choose. Necessary cookies are always on. The others are only used if you accept them, and the site still works if you reject them.

Maps and bookings
These are part of how the site works and are provided by other companies. When you view a map or open a booking, these providers receive technical data such as your IP address and may set their own cookies, under their own privacy policies (Google, FareHarbor).

We do not use advertising cookies. If we ever add videos or other services with their own cookies, this list and the cookie notice will be updated.
